Happy Anniversary Appraisal Articles – 10 Years Online

It has been ten years since I first activated this website in late 2008 and I just wanted to thank all of those who have visited, emailed and called me with comments.  Appraisers, from those working on their first narrative appraisal reports to advanced appraisers looking for data or analytic comments have contacted me and I appreciate being offered a chance to assist them when it is possible.  Public visitors at times also send comments on articles but surprisingly fewer are received.

When I started this website I imagined that I could get several appraisers to author or co-author appraisal related articles in exchange for the links that they would receive back to their own personal websites.  I have however found over the years that few appraisers have the time or inclination to write even one article, so I have taken the time to author most articles as Administrator. 

I realize that as the author of most of the articles on this site I have introduced some of my own personal perspectives and biases.  “I offer no apology for my views of the appraisal world.”  That’s what I stated 10 years ago when I first put the website online and it is apt today.  Most of my articles have been based on my own personal, small company, independent fee appraisal experiences.

I authored / coded my first website in 1996 when few people even knew that the Internet existed.  The following graphic is a copy of the logo from that site.  It was, as far as I know, the first real estate sales website in Michigan.

If I can find a way I will insure the continuity of this site.  Thanks again for 10 years of positive feedback!
