What Makes Retail Properties Worth More?

Retail assignments usually fall into a few categories and appraisers either get a request to appraise a detached, single user building that is sometimes in a shopping center, a single tenant retail condo or an assignment to appraise a multi-tenant building like a strip center. The most time intensive reports are on larger anchored shopping centers, especially if they include different property types like vacant pad sites, single-tenant buildings (often fast food restaurants, banks and taverns) and multi-tenant buildings.
